Shape plus movement in one board

Free Soccer Formation Maker

Building a formation is the easy part. The harder part is showing your players what to do once the shape is set: where to move, when to press, who to pass to, and how to transition.
FTB is a free online soccer formation maker that goes further than placing dots on a pitch. It lets you draw the movement too.
Free to use. No account required.

Build your formation in seconds

Choose your team size, then pick from more than 40 built-in templates. Popular shapes such as 4-3-3, 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1, and 3-5-2 are ready to load immediately, and you can still place players freely if you want to fine-tune the layout.
There's no account required and nothing to download. The board opens in your browser, ready to use.

Show movement, not just positioning

Most formation makers give you a static lineup. FTB lets you draw what happens next.

Passing moves

Solid arrows trace the ball's path so you can map a combination play, build-up sequence, or set-piece routine.

Player runs

Dashed arrows show off-ball movement, from a striker's run in behind to a midfielder arriving late into the box.

Dribbles

Zigzag arrows follow the ball carrier and make carries into space clear at a glance.

Freehand marks

Circle a zone, highlight a pressing trigger, or annotate an area of the pitch.

Ghost markers

Projected end positions let you chain further arrows and build multi-step tactical sequences without losing context.
03

Two teams. One board.

Show both sides of the tactical picture by loading a formation for your team and mirroring a second team opposite. It's useful when you want to show how your shape lines up against a specific opponent or design a set-piece scenario with attackers and defenders in place.
You can also hide the second team temporarily without losing any positions, which is handy when you want to explain one side's movement first and reveal the defensive response afterward.
04

Save, share, and come back to it

Name and save your formation, then reload it any time. Free use covers local saves on the current device, while cloud sync across devices is planned as a Pro feature.
Share it as a short link that opens the live board or export it as an image for WhatsApp, email, or training plans.
